This gave Lancashire only two needed to win, but after the smoke cleared, Gleason could only manage one as Lancashire finished 151–8.
Ben McDermott – the son of former Australia fast bowler Craig McDermott – top-scored with 62, after Hampshire’s modest total of 152-8 saw Lancashire beat arch-rivals Yorkshire in the semi-finals.
