Breakdancer ‘head-slides’ on busy streets in Venezuelan capital, video goes viral

Kenier Mendez is a dancer in Venezuela, and the busy streets of the capital Caracas are her stage. When the traffic lights turn red, he takes to the streets and mesmerizes people on the street with his daring “head slides”, showing off his brake dance moves, through the gaps between stationary vehicles.

According to a report by Reuters news agency, a 27-year-old man wearing an oil-stained helmet takes his steps.

Videos of Mendez performing on the streets of Caracas are being shared widely. The report said that the dancer’s big dream is to make it to the national breakdancing team for the Olympics. He is also expected to break the Guinness World Record for the longest ‘head slide’.

A Reuters post shared a video on Twitter saying mendez Been doing breakdancing for 15 years.

“You need to be in good physical condition to perform each move,” Mendez told Reuters. “Even for the easiest moves, you need to be in good physical condition. That’s why it (break dance) should be admired and respected like other sports.”
