New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki is going to launch its new compact SUV in the country. The carmaker has confirmed that the upcoming Maruti SUV will be called the Grand Vitara. The company has previously revealed many new features. It is now confirmed that the Grand Vitara will come with a panoramic sunroof.
Maruti has already released the teaser of the car with the design of its LED headlamps and tail lamps. Like Toyota’s Urban Cruiser Hider, the Grand Vitara will see many similarities. The Grand Vitara will in a way be a revised version of the Hyder.

new will design
Talking about the front of the Grand Vitara SUV, it will get newly designed LED DRLs and LED headlights. The design of the LED taillights is different from any Maruti car that has been launched so far. When launched, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will compete with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. This time 16 to 17 inch alloy wheels will be available in the SUV. As of now, no information has been given about the interiors of the Grand Vitara SUV.
Maruti Suzuki has already started booking for Rs 11,000 for the Grand Vitara. The name Grand Vitara was taken by Maruti Suzuki from its compact SUV in India from the early 2000s, which was later discontinued. The new model will be offered in two variants. Apart from a standard model, an intelligent electric hybrid variant will also come.

Car will be like Toyota Urban Cruiser
The Maruti Grand Vitara SUV is largely based on the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyder SUV, which was recently unveiled by the Japanese carmaker in India. The Grand Vitara is also expected to share the same powertrain. The Hyryder SUV is offered with the Toyota Hybrid system, which is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that is capable of producing a maximum output of 68 kW and peak torque of 122 Nm.
