Porsche India registered a sales growth of 118 per cent with 378 new cars delivered in the first half of 2022 as compared to last year. To overcome the challenges affecting the automotive industry across the globe, Porsche India delivered more cars between January and June this year than the individual full-year figures for 2018, 2019 and 2020. The advent of Porsche’s all-electric Taycan and a strong desire for SUVs further fueled that. The momentum through the first half of the year with 167 Cayenne and 125 Macan accounts for 77 percent of all sales, followed by the Taycan with 37 units. 27 units were registered in Porsche’s 911 coupe and 19 units in the family-sized limousine Panamera.

Manolito Vujicic, Brand Director, Porsche India, said, “The figures are an encouraging sign that the industry is recovering with demand for high-end sports cars returning to pre-pandemic levels. This month marks the completion of 10 years of Porsche India serving this segment and there is no better way to acknowledge it than with our best sales performance so far for the first half of 2022.
Porsche has so far sold 37 units of the Taycan electric car in India.

Additionally, to expand its reach in the country, Porsche India opened new Porsche facilities in Bengaluru and Chennai, increasing the brand’s presence across eight sales locations across the country. Porsche India has made a positive start to the financial year, resulting in a 22 per cent increase in new car deliveries in the first quarter of 2022, as the company sold a total of 188 units in the period led by Porsche Cayenne and Porsche Macan. , followed by the Porsche Taycan electric sports car.
