The Supreme Court will hear on Tuesday the matter filed by BJP’s suspended spokesperson Nupur Sharma. A bench of Justice Surya Kant and Justice JB Pardiwala will hear the matter. Nupur Sharma, who is facing nine FIRs for her alleged statements against Prophet Muhammad, filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking a stay on arrest in any FIR. Despite the Supreme Court’s condemnation, she also tried to pursue her earlier petitions.
According to Nupur Sharma, her life has become even more dangerous after the Supreme Court held her accountable for the country’s instability.
His most recent petition has been referred to the same bench that heard his initial plea during the holidays.
Prophet comment line
Nupur Sharma’s comments on Prophet Mohammad sparked outrage and several FIRs were registered against him.
On Monday evening, he petitioned the Supreme Court to consolidate all the FIRs lodged against him in Delhi, where the original complaint was made.
The former BJP spokesperson filed a petition in the Supreme Court claiming that she had received rape and death threats as a result of the Supreme Court’s strong condemnation of her comments. He has requested that the FIR in Delhi be combined.
Earlier this month, the Supreme Court reprimanded Nupur Sharma for her televised statement on Prophet Muhammad, claiming that she was solely to blame for the instability of the country.
“The way he has set the whole country on fire. Yet they have the courage and courage to approach this court seeking relief instead of going to the respective High Courts and lower courts. This woman alone is responsible for setting fires across the country.”
