AC Milan Extends Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract: Age has become just a number for star footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He is going to be 41 years old but till now he is standing in the field. Italian football club AC Milan has extended his contract for one more year. The club shared this information on Monday.
AC Milan said in a press release, ‘AC Milan is pleased to announce that the contract of Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been extended until 30 June 2023. This Swedish forward will continue to wear his number 11 jersey for AC Milan.
Ibrahimovic is Sweden’s all-time top goal scorer. He has scored 62 goals for his country. For a long time he has not been a part of his national team, but he remains in the field for AC Milan, one of the big clubs of European football. Ibrahimovic returned to his old club in January 2020. He was transferred from the US Major League Soccer club ‘LA Galaxy’ to AC Milan.
Ibrahimovic’s second innings for AC Milan was surrounded by injury. Due to injury, he kept going in and out of the team for a long time. He played 78 matches for AC Milan from January 2020 till now and scored 36 goals. AC Milan is the current Serie A champion. After 11 years, AC Milan has got the title in this Italian league.
