Stock Market Closing: There has been a great growth in the stock market today. There has been good buying in the market since this morning. Both the Sensex and Nifty indices closed in the green on the first trading day of the week. Apart from this, today there has been good buying in the IT and banking sector as well.

Sensex-Nifty rises
After today’s trading, the Sensex closed at the level of 54,521.15 with a gain of 760.37 points or 1.41 percent. Apart from this, the Nifty index closed at the level of 16,278.50 with a gain of 229.30 points or 1.43 percent.

Which companies’ shares fell?
Out of the top-30 stocks of the Sensex, 8 stocks have been sold. All these stocks have closed in the red mark. Today Dr Reddy’s shares have recorded the biggest fall. Apart from this, the shares of HDFC Bank, M&M, Nestle India, Maruti, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC and NTPC have been selling.

Shares of IndusInd Bank have jumped over 4 per cent today. Today’s top gainer stock has been IndusInd Bank. Apart from this, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Finserv, Axis Bank, Ultra Chemical, Kotak Bank, Wipro, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, TCS, Tata Steel, LT, SBI, Bajaj Finance, HCL Tech, Tatine, Asian Paints, Reliance, OTC Stocks of Power Grid and Sun Pharma have also closed sharply.

How was the sectoral index?
Talking about the sectoral index, after today’s trading, FMCG, Pharma and Healthcare sectors have closed in the red mark. Apart from this, there has been good momentum in all. In today’s list of bullish sectors, Nifty Oil & Gas, Consumer Durable, Realty, Private Bank, PSU Bank, Metal, Media, IT, Financial Services, Auto and Nifty Bank have all been good buys.
