Sensex opened with a gain of 308 points at 54,069 in the morning and started trading, while Nifty opened with a gain of 102 points at 16,151 and started trading. Due to this, the Sensex started trading at 54,237 with a gain of 450 points at 9.26 am, while the Nifty gained 130 points to reach the level of 16,180.
