Sanjay Dutt’s daughter Trishala Dutt, in her latest Instagram entry, posted a picture of her stretch marks and wrote a note on body positivity and adopting changes. She began the note with these words: “My stretch marks are a sign that at one time, my body was growing rapidly as well as where my skin failed to catch its growth, which is now permanent tears/scars. has left.” Trishala said in her note, “It also reminds me that my body was strong enough to take up the extra space at a time that I needed to demonstrate strength and ability with lots of food to fill some of the emptiness in my life.” I needed “perfection”, a seemingly fleeting feeling of happiness. Instead, it was destroying me. – I’m glad I got over it. They’re not ideal, they’re not who I am wanted, but they are what I got.” Describing the stretch marks as her “battle wounds”, Trishala wrote: “And they are mine. My war wounds, which have faded over the years, but I wear with pride.”

Trishala Dutt is a psychiatrist based in New York. She is the daughter of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and his first wife Richa Sharma, who died of brain tumour. Trishala was raised by her maternal grandparents in the USA, where she currently resides. Her father Sanjay Dutt is now married to Manyata. They got married in the year 2008 and the couple are parents to twins Shahraan and Iqra.
