scheduled tribe. Johns (Antigua and Barbuda): West Indies on Sunday recalled star all-rounder Jason Holder for the three-match ODI series against India as they look to bounce back from their loss to Bangladesh.
Former captain Holder missed out on a 3-0 series loss against Bangladesh in Guyana as the selectors wanted to manage his workload as one of the West Indies’ all-format players.
Chief selector Desmond Haynes said: “As we all know Jason is one of the leading all-round cricketers in the world and we are delighted to have him back in the team.”
“He will be refreshed, re-energized and ready to go and we can expect to see his talent on the field as well as meaningful contributions off the field.”
Haynes said: “We had three very challenging matches against Bangladesh. We need to regroup and play better against India.”
All three matches will be played on Friday, Sunday and Wednesday 27 July at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad.
West Indies Team: Nicholas Pooran (Captain), Shai Hope, Shamar Brooks, Keesey Carty, Jason Holder, Akil Hossein, Alzarri Joseph, Brandon King, Kyle Meyers, Gudakesh Moti, Keemo Paul, Rovman Powell, Jayden Seals
